About Me

In the beginning: It was February 9th 1985, at the Naval Hospital Charleston in North Charleston, South Carolina where I was born to my Mother, Cindy Lewis,  my Father, Ben Lewis and my Sister, Tina. My Mother was a stay at home mom, and my Father was in the United States Coast Guard. Shortly after I was born, my family and I were being transferred to Staten Island, New York, and eventually where I spent most of my early childhood years, Portsmouth, Virginia. Eventually my parents went their separate ways, my sister was 9 years older than me and had already moved out by this point, leaving my Mother and I to head south into North Carolina, as we had family in the area and finally settling down in Fayetteville, N. C.

Teenage years: Growing up in a single parent household had its advantages and disadvantages. And since my sister by this point got married and started a family of her own being an only child at home had its great perks too. I was a typical teenage boy who got into enough trouble and had my fair share of sneaking around. I did played guitar in a few local bands, did baseball, and rollerblading but nothing took priority over gaming on the PC until i got into collecting sports memorabilia and Hockey, oh man let me tell you, the 94-95 Playoffs, New Jersey Devils Goaltender Martin Brodeur won my heart as a hockey fan and goalie fan forever. I dropped out of high school in 9th grade (2001) to get a manual labor job building green houses to help mom pay our bills. worked 50 hours a week to help make sure mom and I had the essentials.

Adulthood: In my early 20’s I did some moving around and traveling. Went to Alaska for a while, then on to Portland, Oregon (Go Ducks!) for many years, before eventually heading back east to N.C. again. While living in Portland I did manage to put myself through school and get my GED at Mt. Hood Community College, took some extra college courses since I was heavily into computers at the time doing web development and graphics design. After moving back to N.C. I got a job with RadioShack and worked with the company for 7 years until I landed my current job. I work for an amazing company and all I can say while employed with them is I make labels for everyday products you use daily. I met an amazing woman whom is now my wife. She is a special woman in so many ways that I can’t even describe them. See, my wife Becke suffers from an extreme and severe case of Crohn’s Disease. We spent 5 years together before I finally asked her to be my wife. We have now been married since April 2015 and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Present Day: Today, I write this blog to help me handle the struggles and daily battles I have. Between work, family and my wife’s terminal illness I tend to bottle it all up, which is not healthy. I became diabetic in August 2015 and was knocking on death’s door, luckily I attacked it head on and very aggressively and was able to get it under control in 3 months time. My wife was hospitalized in April 2014. She was released just days before our wedding to be held, only to have serious complications and be rushed back in 30 min before the start of it. We got married the next day in her hospital room. So please sit back, as I introduce you into my life, from my experiences through my views.

This is My Life. These are My Views.
